Embark on a four day expedition along the incredible Mahaweli Ganga. Paddle and camp along a 50km stretch accompanied by river guides and wildlife.
Your first day begins at base camp in Kitulgala, learning to read the river, safety and paddling techniques on the Kelani River. Stay here for one night, before rising early to head to the Mahaweli and start your trip. Over the next few days explore this remote part of Sri Lanka, entering a national park on day three, paddling on gentle white water through silent wilderness, the only sounds bird life and tree-roaming monkeys. When dusk falls, set up camp, collect wood for a fire to deter drifting elephants, and savour dinner under the stars. This unique experience ends in the heart of the cultural triangle near Polonnaruwa.
