Your host is a fifth generation resident of Galle, who has spent much of his growing years learning about the ins and outs of the Galle Fort. A descendant from a family who have been welcoming travellers from all parts of the world to the island, your host has many tales to share about the past as well as the present. A charismatic personality with an eye for photography, he is fluent in all three languages of Sri Lanka, Sinhala, Tamil and English and is keen on helping people connect with the island.
About your host
Your host’s Moorish ancestors first arrived on the shores of Galle in the mid-17th century in one of the earliest waves of spice traders and gem merchants. Having being based in different parts of the island in the past, he now resides in Galle, exploring news ways to help people connect with Sri Lanka.
